At each ancient boat site, skilled guides invite you into the stories of warships — once sacrificed to the gods and now rebuilt with passion and craftsmanship.
Children become part of the adventure as they encounter mythical beings, warriors, and goddesses from the old Norse sagas.

Behind the Cultural Expedition are three dedicated expedition leaders: cultural communicator and concept developer Mia Lilliendahl Larsen, cultural historian and storyteller Casper Clemmensen, and sailing coordinator Martin Panum from Mai-Event. Together, they bring 1,000 years of maritime history to life in close collaboration with the three iconic ancient boat guilds: the Hjortspring Boat, the Nydam Boat, and the Viking ship Sebbe Als.
